Far Western Region Past History 1954-2018
The Far Western Region was organized in 1954 during the term of Supreme Basileus Beatrice Preston, Detroit, Michigan, who was Supreme Basileus from 1948-1955. The establishment of the region was profoundly aided by our first Supreme Basileus Elizabeth Garner who relocated from Detroit, Michigan to Sacramento, California and was a charter member of Delta Chapter the charter chapter of the region. There were six original chapters at the first Far Western Region meeting held in 1954 in San Francisco, CA. This meeting was hosted by Rho Chapter whose Basileus was Eddy Williams.
